Watch a table play
A minute of somebody else’s evening. On the left is what the microphone heard. On the right is Sidebard’s panel, at the edge of the DM’s screen, drawn the way the app draws it.

This is a recording, not a live AI. The lines and the cards are a fixed script, replayed in your browser — nothing here is listening to you and nothing is being generated. It is a faithful copy of what the app puts on screen, made from the app’s own card layout and colours.
What you just watched
- A monster’s turn. Nobody said anything — the turn order reached the ogre. The card has both swings, the total, and the reason a 21 might still miss: Kerv is behind a pillar. Space applies the damage; the numbered alternative beside it picks a different target instead.
- A rule, with the passage. A player asks a question out loud. The card is the answer in one line with the SRD section it came from; the lookup panel, one key away, quotes the passage itself. If the SRD does not answer the question, Sidebard says so rather than inventing a ruling.
- Creatures arriving. “Three more goblins pour in through the north door” puts three goblins on the map. Only creatures that exist in the rules — stat blocks are never written by a language model.
- A map of the room you just described. First a card asking whether to map it, then the map itself with its scale, ready for the screen the players can see.
- One you do not want. A pacing suggestion arrives mid-scene, the DM presses escape, and nothing happens. That is the whole contract: nothing reaches the table until a key is pressed.
